Our Mission

Surface Levels focuses on stationery and other functional and fleeting things we admire. Touching, feeling, looking, we hope to share our material adoration and the haptic pleasures we experience in relation to life’s minor attachments. We can’t wait to share our small world with you.

Our History

Our families came from India and the Philippines and we were raised on opposite coasts of the United States. We met in the Pacific Northwest and have lived in Massachusetts, Michigan, Oregon, Illinois, and Texas. Throughout our numerous relocations, we’ve dragged along a trunk full of stationery and shelves full of books. We are currently based in the mountains of rural Virginia.
